Prayer for Anxiety

Dear Lord, I come to you today in prayer for anxiety. I am seeking your comfort for my restless heart. Anxiety torments my mind and my soul. At times I am consumed with fear and stress. The enemy tries to keep me tied in bondage with anxiety, for when I am consumed with anxiety, I am not experiencing the peace you have blessed us with. In your word it says you have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control. Lord help me to experience the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Fill me with peace, love, and self-control. When I am consumed with anxiety I feel completely out of control. I do and say things I normally wouldn’t. In Joshua your word says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”. Allow your word to be tattooed on my heart, carrying it with me wherever I go. When the enemy attacks me with fear may I stand firmly on your truth. Allow me to recognize the attacks of the enemy on my mind, spirit, and soul. Help me to remember you are with me wherever I go so therefore I have nothing to fear and no reason to be dismayed. Psalm says, “I sought the lord and he answered me and delivered me from my fears”. I am seeking you now to be delivered from my fears. I know this Earth will be filled with trials and sorrows, that there will be times of fear, but may I not be consumed by this fear and learn to lean on you for strength for I know I cannot conquer this anxiety on my own. Philippians says, “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. 
I come to you in prayer now to be surrounded by your peace and to have you guard my mind and heart. No longer will I allow the enemy to take my peace. I relinquish this anxiety I’ve carried for so long. May I keep your word in the forefront of my heart, and mind, as a reminder next time I feel these old anxious feelings coming on. I put my trust in you. I am loved.
 I am chosen.
 I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
 I am fulfilled.  I stand on your word and truth.  I am no longer defined by my anxiety, but I am defined by your peace that lives within me. For you sit on the throne now and always. Thank you for you never ending love and mercy. In your holy name I pray, Amen!
