Daily Prayer for Direction
Lord, I need your direction in my life. It is too easy to try to rely on my own understanding and attempt to be in control. But, I know your Word tells me not to rely upon my own understanding. I am always facing obstacles and difficult decisions. I need your guidance and direction.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5
Help me to place my full trust in you and not to follow my own ways. Please give me direction in all areas of my life. I ask that you bless and give me direction with all decisions involving my family, my career, my relationships, and more.
I want to absorb your Word and apply that knowledge to my life. It is easier to make decisions when I am well-versed in your Word. Remind me to look for direction in Your Word in times of doubt where I am indecisive and need to make a decision. Bless me with good judgment and help me not to turn away from your guidance and instructions.
“My children, listen when your father corrects you. Pay attention and learn good judgment, for I am giving you good guidance. Don’t turn away from my instructions.”
Proverbs 4:1-2
Let your wisdom be my guiding light showing me the way in the darkness of the valley of decision. Be the small still voice in my heart and mind when I am contemplating on which way to turn and what to do. Guide me in all of my ways. I trust you with my life Lord and trust in you with all of my heart. Illuminate before me the path to take so I always know which direction to go.
