Prayer About Trusting God‬‬

Dear Lord, 

I come to you today seeking to have complete and total trust in You. In the natural, it can be hard to surrender control and trust that everything will be okay. But in Proverbs, you tell us that we should trust you with ALL of our heart and not depend on our own understanding. 

I want to trust You in every area and aspect of my life. You don’t ask for us to trust You with some things. You ask us to trust You with all. 

Help me to cast out any fear and doubt that holds me back from trusting you with all of my heart. I believe in You and Your word when it tells me that You cause everything to come together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. 

Knowing this, there’s nothing that should hold me back from trusting you with all of my heart, mind, and soul. But, the enemy plants doubts in my mind. These doubts makes me fearful to surrender total control and trust to you. I need your help to overcome this fear, as my life would be so much better, and my mind would be free if only I do what Your Word tells me to do. 

Jeremiah says, “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence”. You are my hope and my confidence. May I be blessed when I place my full trust in you. I will not allow fear to prevent me from trusting in You.

Psalms says it beautifully when it says, “But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you”. I pray that this is my mentality going forward. That I will not let my fear drive me away from you, or prevent me from trusting in You. But instead, when I am fearful and afraid I will put my trust in you. Because You are in control and I am thankful that You are, for without You I am nothing. 

Thank you for opening my eyes to see that your desire is not for us to go through life fearful and putting trust in ourselves, but for us to trust You and to have peace of mind knowing that You are in control. There is nothing that the enemy means for evil that you won’t turn for my good. 

From this day forward help me to surrender my whole heart, mind, and soul to you. Shine light on the areas in my life that I am not placing my full trust in you with. Bless me with guidance and wisdom on surrendering those parts to You. 

Because you say I am Loved.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made. 

I am chosen.

I am dead to myself and alive to the power of God. 

Because you sit on the throne now and forever, I will entrust my heart and life in your hands.

Though there will be times when my circumstances may be difficult, I will choose to trust you.
