Prayer of Praise: Easter Resurrection Edition
Dear Lord,
I come to you today to give you full praise for who you are, who you’ve been, and all you continue to be. I am nothing without you. As the old hymn goes, I was blind, but now I see. I was lost, but now I’m found. Too often I pray about my wants and needs and do not give you the praise you so deserve.
This time more than ever is a reminder of what to truly be grateful for and to set our eyes, and hearts, on. That is you! And the sacrifice that you made. Taking all of my sin, shame, and guilt onto you who never knew sin so that I may have everlasting life. There is no greater love than that.
A love that cannot be encompassed into words. True love so profound my mind cannot even comprehend the smallest fraction of the agape love you have for us. To give your life, so that we may have it! You are worthy of all the praise and glory. Oh, how wonderful that I serve a living God! I strive to live each day to be worthy of your sacrifice.
I couldn’t imagine being one of the women when the Angel said not to be afraid, for You who were crucified weren’t there in the tomb, but had risen! What a sight to behold. To see everything you taught come to pass before my very eyes. And, having no doubt that you are the one and only true King of Kings.
And as Peter says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead”.
I give you all of my praise. My heart leaps for joy when I am in your presence. I praise you for your mercy for I am so undeserving. For when I was unequivocally lost you loved me anyway. When I was dirty and in sin you pursued me anyway. What a loving Father that leaves the 99 to find the 1. I can only hope to show you a fraction of the love you have shown me!

you say I am Loved.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am chosen.
I am dead to myself and alive to the power of God.
Because you sit on the throne now and forever, I will live each day embracing Your presence.
In your name I pray,

I hope you enjoying reciting this prayer of praise. God is so worthy of our praise. He needs to be praised every day, not just on Easter. Easter is not about the Easter bunny, or Easter egg hunts, it’s about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Keep your mind focuses on what truly matters.
