Daily Prayer for a Deeper Relationship with God
Dear Lord,
Thank you for your goodness and mercy. I pray and long to have a deep and strong relationship with you. Allow your Word to take root deep in my heart and influence my thoughts and actions. Help me remember to always look to You for wisdom and answers instead of the world.
Life can be so consuming with the day-to-day things, family, and work that sometimes I struggle to spend time with you. Lord, help me to make time to spend with You and Your Word growing our relationship. I want to prioritize You first in my life, as it should be. Give me peace and stillness when I need it to bring me back to you so I can live a Christ-Centered life.
Lord, I want to live in a way pleasing to you. I want to bring joy to you by the way I live. And I can only do that through a deep and meaningful relationship with You. It is frequently said, “It’s not about religion, it’s about a relationship.” That is so true because religion cannot save me, but You can. My relationship with You is the most important and meaningful relationship I will ever have.
“And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.”
Ephesians 4:30
Help me to keep my relationship with You first. Remind me to take time to spend with You in prayer regularly. Guide me in leaning on You and not my own understanding. Fill me with Your Spirit and direct my steps, Lord. When I am going through Spiritual warfare, give me the strength to stay strong and strengthen our relationship when the enemy tries to turn me back to the world. I pray for Your Will in my life.
